I’m sorry. We did two rounds of IVF and became pregnant with twins, but then miscarried. Happened a few days after my grandfather, with whom I was close, died. But in the months following, maybe 5 months afterward, we became pregnant through natural means. So this isn’t a final verdict.

My sister-in-law couldn’t have kids due to her lupus, but she adopted wonderful twin girls 9 years ago and they’re all tight as can be. The four of them live in a tiny one-bedroom in downtown Manhattan. They have absolutely no regrets.
