Allow yourself to cry. Then force yourself to do something. Amazingly watching funny movies has helped me to break out. The more ridiculous the better. Surround yourself with people.

Sometimes, I think we need a good cry.

What's the weather like this afternoon where you are. Could you manage to get out for awhile a bit later? Is there a park nearby?

Or, if staying in , I agree with Bear, watch an old film . An old Disney like Lady & the Tramp or Bambi or any favourite of yours, or a good comedy.

Treat yourself to your favourite food and make sure you drink plenty of water.

Sending hugs from Wales x

ps

Did you get medically checked out?

Could you be Anaemic?

Ask your GP for a blood test to check your Ferritin and for a Full Blood Count. Ask if you can have Vitamin D tested plus B12 and Folate.

Say that you are so tired and fatigued you would like to be checked out for Anaemia.

Have you ever had any Antibodies tested? Ask for Thyroid tests;

TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies)

TgAb. (Thyroglobulin Antibody)

FreeT3

TSH

FreeT4

Total T4

Hi I got all thyroid checks still not treating it though as they think it’s hormone related. I’m so fed up x

Thyroid problem is hormone related!!

You have many symptoms of Hypothyroidism (an untreated Underactive Thyroid). This is treated with the synthetic hormone Levothyroxine, to replace the Thyroxine (hormone) which is lacking.

Have you had Antibodies tested?

Have you been tested for Anaemia?

I’ve been telling the dr for months I’m sure that’s what it is but they won’t listen and say it’s border line one minute and fine the next. I’m a lot of other meds just wonder if there’s a certain vitamin I could take

Thyroid testing seems to be a mess everywhere. I was luckily diagnosed in the ER after an overdose. Treating hypothyroidism helped tremendously. I'm glad Mary is bringing this to peoples attention. I know I was hypothyroid many years before I was diagnosed. Probably about a 15 year late diagnosis. You might have to find a new doctor to get a diagnosis.

Hi

My body is a mess due to late diagnosis and treatment.

It's a real battle here in UK.

Fluctuating results from the regular TFTs (Thyroid Function Tests) is typical of Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis which is very common. It is also the cause of Hypothyroidism in most cases.

Ask your GP to test the Antibodies (TPO & TgAb).

Say:

As you have many symptoms of Hypothyroidism you would like to eliminate Autoimmune Thyroiditis.

Vitamins and Mineral supplements should not be taken unless a test has revealed a deficiency. It's important to get tested.

Vitamin B complex should not be taken for at least a week before Thyroid tests as B6 affects the test results so test would be useless.

Have you got copies of your blood tests results? Could you put them on here?

For examples:

What is your TPO result?

What is your Ferritin result?

Vitamins won't treat a condition other than a deficiency in that particular vitamin.

If still suffering like this I would keep going back to the GP.

When did you last see a GP or hospital Consultant?

If on a lot of meds, have you checked all the patient Information Leaflets for side effects?

Why on lots of meds?

Have you tried posting on the Thyroid forum on here?

What hormone test?

Have you actually had any Antibodies tested?

Have you asked for Ferritin and Vitamin D to be tested?

You have a right to obtain copies of your blood test results (and any records).

You could phone the GP practice and ask for a print out of all your blood tests results . Say you will call in to collect them. There is no charge.
