We live in a very small rural community. So telemedicine just isn't an unsurprising event. However today I think I have found a limit.
Are you ready? I just had an appointment by phone with my physical therapist.
I have no idea if or how they're going to bill that. She gave me some good information so it wasn't a total waste of time. We talked about my progress & how to graduate the exercises that I was doing last time I saw her weeks ago. And of course we laughed through the whole thing. It just strikes me as quite peculiar. Wow.
*******"Before anyone gets upset. This particular physical therapist and I have worked together for the last six months and previously for over a year, on a shoulder issue. So we do know each other and she knows that she can tell me to do something and I'm going to overdo it. I'm not one that she's concerned about slacking.and I do have access to go see her anytime but I won't go to the hospital which is where her office is at.

I think this is great....and happy you have such a good relationship with your physical therapist. It may very well become a more viable and sensible thing for medicine in the future...imagine all the less smog and noise pollution if more people did video conferencing with therapists, and if they only have questions for doctors, and other professionals, they can do it online...wow.
Absolutely, I see this tele med as a wonderful tool. there are just a couple different disciplines that I think have to be Hands-On. Optometry, gynecology, physical therapy. There are just a few providers that we probably need to see them in real life.
But yes absolutely let's do as much of this as we can by phone. I don't want to go out there. Earth doesn't want us polluting her. And I don't want to go out there.
Blessings to you, enjoy this beautiful sunshiny day.
I have gotten certifications from Junior colleges online. And yes, actual degrees from regular schools can be done mostly online, not some buy your diploma phony baloney schools, but actual colleges. I did have to register in person for class, but that was it. We are going to find that for many everyday things we already have been doing online...much more can be done, and yes some personal visits will be necessary, but much more can be done to cut down driving in our cars and turning freeways into parking lots. I see a better future all around coming out of all of this. Yes...we grieve, and the untold loss and despair on family's of not only the victims, but the healthcare workers will not be known for quite some time yet....and that is also the future of medicine....all we can do is hope...and support those saving lives....I hope in future we honor them and never forget, and we all thank them for their service.
That's exactly why I'm cocooning and if I do go out...mask and gloves, long sleves and a hat. No...I'm not paranoid...just smart. Anyone who really thinks this is a hoax will certainly feel otherwise in a few weeks time I'm sure. The Darwin Society is there for a reason....Covidiots united
I'm so glad to hear that my new friends use protection against this plague. 😷
I heard on the news this morning that the death rate doubled overnight. We're over😲 40 thousand now. And yet they're going to open the state of Georgia. Everybody hang on, this ride isn't over.
There are no words for sheer stupidity....accept…. to tell those folks good luck with that one and let us know how that all works out for ya….we’ll be inside watching the news.
