Just found our that my school is going totally online for the rest of the semester because of corona. I had transferred in this semester and was just starting to make friends. I’m nervous for this change in my routine and lack of socialization. Why can’t things just be normal? This year has been a series of ups and downs. It’s like every time I think I’m progressing with my depression something comes to mess it all up and take me five steps backwards. I don’t know what I’m going to do.

Can u Skype or messenger talk to friends? Do online study sessions? Get together for tea/coffee? Think of it like extended time for homework....

You’ll be back in school soon... don’t worry. 😊🌷☀️

You have more control over your response to these changes than you think you do.

This is happening to many of us right now. For the protection of everyone changes and guidelines are being implemented. We all have to see the big picture of why we are being asked to do certain things.

There is no reason to disconnect from your friends. There are so many ways available now to stay in touch. Don't put yourself in a position to lose good friendships.

This is a temporary pre-cautionary measure, and you have online connections, as one person mentioned Skype, etc. so...just relax and go with the flow. Better to be safe than worry...just follow the guidelines and limit public exposure...keep a level head and let common sense prevail.

Hello Gaby0, You are not alone. This corona virus has brought a lot of unexpected changes in our life. I can understand the uncertainty in all this but just as all other challenges, this too shall pass. No condition is permanent. I want you to stay positive and know that life will be back to normal after this. Change is not easy for us all but you can manage this. You can suggest Facebook or WhatsApp messaging groups for your class. You can still keep in touch with your friends while you stay at home till this virus is cleared and safe to be in public places. Check this resource out and I think you might find it helpful. bit.ly/2UcUTyw Am here when you need someone to chat with. Best wishes
