Need help turning my thoughts off

Someone posted a meditation technique last week to help relax the mind and body and now I can’t find it. Any simple suggestions. Thank you 🙏

I agree with Olivia40. Guided meditation apps/videos are fantastic. Pair that up with a calming diffuser & you will be AMAZED at how good you feel

Thank you all I will look into those. I tried mindful breathing to get to sleep last night and it work.... so there hope that I can meditate!!! Thanks again!

Hi. You can't turn the mind off. It's like children screaming at you all at once.... Sit with the noise and breathe into your belly, hold it for the count of 6 and then release... Do this a few times and then start to breathe normally taking your awareness into you breathing. When the mind tries to wonder, bring it back to the breathe... Watch your tummy rise and your chest and keep breathing. You need to welcome the emotions as they begin to disapate. Once you're clear, sit with the mind cos you need to question it. If its a worry thought or any thought, sit in a very still position and breathe while questioning it. Take the first concept (thought) otherwise known as a story and ask inside, what does this mean to me and or about me... Once you get an answer, keep questioning until you understand and then ask, assuming this were true, why would this be a bad thing? This will eventually take you to a CORE belief.. Once you get to the core belief you can start asking if it's true.... Any negative emotion will show you that what you're believing is a lie.
