I have often been walking in the bush and wondered what sunlight smells like....
To me it smells like different things in different places at different times of year... I don’t think it’s really sunlight I’m smelling but rather the effects of it!
All I can attest to is how it makes me feel 😊 warm, light, not as weighed down, more positive, energized and less like wanting to hibernate😎
So hello all from north of the 49th parallel! I’m coming out of darkness to the light...
I’ve been told a shadow adds 10 lbs eh?!😜

Ha ! that's for TV. Layered clothing is not flattering . Can't see sunlight on the dancing waves. Maybe a trip to the sun would be fun except the dogs want first class travel.
Hot days you can smell the sap rising in the trees, raining days the freshness of the leaves and grass. Smell relies on many things. Many years ago I was in the Bush near Perth Western Australia and you could smell the day and the air felt hot, like being next to a fire
Yes I love walking in the greenhouse and smelling the plants in there on a hot day. The same in the Conservatory when all the flowers smell wonderful.
We used to have a plant called Datura, you could smell the flowers throughout the house, although we had to stop growing it in case the dogs ate the leaves.
The best time of the year here is when all jasmine is blossoming, the garden smells wonderful and honeyed
We can get quite a few jasmine type flowers, many are so intoxicating there smell radiate the garden and home at this time of year. Go to your local garden centre you should find plants there
Some ypes are planted outside and they are really hardy, they also root themselves when grown outside and it will spread like mad if given a frame to grow next to
Synesthesia is a condition in which one sense (for example, hearing) is simultaneously perceived as if by one or more additional senses such as sight. Another form of synesthesia joins objects such as letters, shapes, numbers or people's names with a sensory perception such as smell, color or flavor
You're probably more sensitive to smell than me- but I don't smell much in the winter outdoors; but when the thaw starts and the sun warms up the earth, it definitely has a good smell to it!
You're probably half-kidding, but I used to work with the blind and they could remember things really well. There is something to another sense or skill picking up the slack.
Yes partially... lol rutting or angry animals have a very distinct smell... hard to forget. Working in healthcare opened a whole new set of smells... 😂
Could be I don’t hear well too?
Ppl that do not see are some of the most remarkably creative people I agree. 😎😊
Hello CanuckAnon, yes I agree that there is nothing that beats the smell of the sun, the heat created the the sun seems to stimulate everything to have a magical smell. I used to love walking through the veld, along a beautiful beach or forest in South Africa anywhere in fact. Unfortunately I have completely lost my sense of smell in recent years which for me is very sad, only the memories now. Sometimes l can still imagine the smell created by the sun, nothing more beautiful than to just stand in the sun and feel the power charging your batteries.
