I got a prescription last week for phentermine (appetite suppressant) because I was having difficulty losing weight with just diet and exercise. I have had chronic depression for 23 years, and it has become medication-resistant. I've taken the phentermine for about 5 days now, and I have noticed a bit of a lift in my depression symptoms. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this with phentermine.

Phentermine and Depression
I took it but had terrible side effects including extreme anxiety because it affects your central nervous system.
Be careful. It works so well that I went about ten days at a time without eating and got so very skinny my family wanted to put me in an eating disorder clinic.
I am also prescribed Phentermine Storsie, it seems to help with my energy level which elevates my mood. My daughter also takes it and she's lost 70 pounds in just 6 months. All she did was cut out extra added sugar such as soda, desserts and cereals. I've been doing her program of "sugar-free" eating for a week and a half now and I've lost 7 pounds already! The Phentermine has made an incredible difference in her depression and moods as well. Good luck on your weight loss and depression journey. Let me know how it works for you.
God Bless, Mystic Fawn.
Thank you! I'm currently trying Nutrisystem, and the phentermine has helped greatly. I already exercised regularly, and my doc said if I keep up the exercise after I stop phentermine, any weight lost should stay.
