When you have an anxiety or panic attack, how do you channel it? What do you use to make this moment of lack of control more bearable? I try to calm down, see what parts of my body are being directly affected, I occupy my mind a little with things from my house, if it is too late at night I do some stretching then breathing exercises and some guided meditation, allá that helps a bit, those attacks always hits sometimes harder than others.
I would like to know what you do in those moments.
Peace to all!

I try to talk to someone about it because it seems to alleviate the feelings once its out of my head and into the world. Most peoples feedback doesn't help too much but its the saying it out loud part that seems to help. Distracting myself with a good television show or leaving the house to be around other people seems to help as well.
I found that distracting myself is the best way to deal with mine. As soon as I start feeling anxious, I will get on my phone, watch tv, get up and move around, clean (ew, I know).
I do the same thing! I will watch funny videos or a show that I really like and can get invested in. Also keeping a journal has definitely helped me, especially when I need to get my feelings out but I don’t really feel like talking to anyone about it.
Good question!! I usually take a pill lol. I have a couple of friends that know what to say to me when I’m having an attack. “ it will be over soon, it always passes,” then they distract me. I was told count change. I think words with friends helps. Make some herbal tea. I know it’s awful. But exercise is really good for anxiety!!! And of course my dogs lol. Hugs
A great help I find is Dr. Claire Weeks, Hope & Help for Your Nerves, she gives a great way to deal with it, the book is available new/used on Amazon, I have had my copy for 30 years and find it soothing. I wish you well...sending love & hugs....Sprinkle 1......
