Stroke your little one's forehead above the left eye and sing softly:
"Golden slumbers fill your eyes,
Smiles awake you when you rise,
Sleep little darling
Do not cry.
And I will sing a lullaby.
Once there was a way
To get back homeward.
Once there was a way
To get back home.
Sleep little darling
Do not cry.
And I will sing a lullaby."
If that doesn't work a couple of teaspoons of gin in his/her orange juice usually does the trick but don't overdo it.
That's what we used to do in the olden days, any way.
Hello- You mentioned about your 2- year old. I have a sister who works in the office full-time, she has a 3-year old and instead of resting at her day off she needs to take care of her toddler. For her to enjoy her day off, when her toddler naps, she would also nap. Self-care is important so we can better take care of others. I hope you can also find time to take care of yourself. Try to nap when your baby naps.
God bless you as you do your work in a new location. Please keep us posted.
