I’m new to this site. I have depression, anxiety and insomnia. I tried TMS therapy earlier this year but was resistant to it. I feel that the antidepressant has made me feel worse rather than better. It seemed to work for a bit and then quit. My anxiety is worse and taking anti anxiety meds only caused more problems so I got off them. I just started CBD oil for depression, anxiety and insomnia but mostly for anxiety. Anyone in the same situation?

Welcome. I have major depression and generalized anxiety disorder. Also tried TMS this year & it had virtually no effect. I’m currently doing ECT. I also take CBD oil & find it calms my anxiety. I live in a state where medical marijuana is legal so I have that as well.
I did tms and it worked for a while. I am stuck on zanex and suffer withdrawals when the doctor doesn’t realize there’s a shortage in the country. I’ve been crying all day. I’ll try some cbd oil because I’m sort low on options.
I tried tms and ketamine and an array of antidepressants I'm treatment resistant too, got a medication review monday because I'm sure my current regimen isn't helping (duloxetine, pregabalin and lithium) would like to give ECT ago but not sure if it's an option unless I end up an inpatient again.
I’m getting ECT as an outpatient, after having tried TMS. I tried ketamine when it was still in its trial stage for depression treatment & it did nothing.
I'm going to mention ECT Monday at my review
Let me know if you have any questions. It’s certainly worth mentioning.
I think each person has to try and find what works for them. ECT may just be the thing that works for you. I personally know a few people that ECT didn’t work for them but then there are people out there that it has. One doesn’t know till they try it and exhausted every other avenue to find relief.
This is true. TMS didn’t work for me, for instance, nor did ketamine but I know people for whom one worked great.
