I need help!
Do you mind if I ask how long you have been on your meds? Sometimes, waiting for your meds to kick in can seem like an eternity. If you feel like you really have no other option then maybe a hospital might be a good idea. HOWEVER, if you feel like you can manage through the night, maybe try making an appt with a program at a hospital. I went for an evaluation because I have felt the same way. They told me that there was a day-program I could do instead of being in an inpatient program. Try to keep yourself busy and comfortable for the night. Maybe cuddle up and watch your favorite movie. Maybe try writing down how you are feeling. Herbal tea is my cuddle buddy when I start to feel like this. Oddly enough, when I feel this way I like to watch things like America's Got Talent. A show about people with passions and talents. Something that doesn't trigger me or make me think so hard. Something that just makes me happy. I'm so sorry that you are feeling this way. I invite you to my private messages if you need anything or just want to talk. I hope you find some comfort, love. xoxo
I know it must be difficult for you, do you have someone you can talk to you can trust. I would not go to in patient they are generally not that good. Talk to your Dr. and try to be patient while the med kicks in. I like TopGunGiraffe's reply lots of good suggestions. Do what you have to that your mind is telling you, do not listen to other people they usually do not understand. Take good care of yourself, if it is daylight go for a long walk in the fresh air and nature, is there a park close by? Listen to good music that uplifts you, read something funny if you can, write in a journal how you feel, find something to do that you love and will take your mind to a different space. Get rest and good sound sleep, they will all help you re-generate. I wish you well, a fellow in recovery. Sending Peace, Joy, Happyness, Love and Hugs....Sprinkle 1.
What meds are you on
Sorry to hear what you are going through. Are you taking meds regularly? I have been taking medicine for more than 10 years but still depression gets triggered often. If med is not working try different one. If you want to share in private message or call and talk, we are all here. Hope you are doing better now.
I am just coming out of severe depression and it took 2 months.
Kimmy, lots of good suggestions above. I wish you well. I have not taken meds, as I have been to fearful in trying them due to fearing an adverse reaction. I keep thinking if I don't do something I may end up needing much needed help because of all the physical symptoms on a daily basis. I am thankful to have recently found this site. So much information and experience on here, i wish you the best and you have to find what is best for you. Each person here shares their experience, strength and hope. Everyone is so encouraging and supportive. We are all in this together. Hugs xoxo
