Hey all,

I haven't posted on here for so long because I have been doing so much better since last year when I was scrolling up and down this website for hours looking for answers... I just want to say that you can get back to happiness. Everyone has a different path that will lead them to recovery and it's not always as easy as it is for others.

This time last year I was overwhelmed with anxiety, depression, and unexplainable symptoms like dizziness.

It took months of talking to different doctors, finding the right medication, and using therapeutic techniques, but today I am doing great. I was able to return to work, move out of my parent's house, go on trips, and overall enjoy life again. I still have anxiety and depression sometimes, but not at all to the debilitating extent they were at last year.

So if you're laying in bed right now, thinking that there is no hope, please hang in there. I was where you are now, last year. It was a very slow recovery, but I made it through. I biggest advice is to find a good doctor and/or therapist and to stay positive through the struggle.

-Josh

Josh, I can't tell you how emotional I get when reading a successful post like yours.

It's the greatest feeling ever to know that with determination, we can all reach the

same goal. I re-read your former posts and remember how you struggled through

your journey. I can tell people how I succeeded by finding what worked for me alone.

It's the same as you did. We learn how to live in a stress filled world by not having

anxiety direct us. We are in control. I'm so happy for you Josh. Thank you for

sharing your positive story. You may have just helped others who feel bottomed

out right now. Embrace the feeling. Life is Good :) xx

This is a lovely post :) So happy for your recovery, even though I'm pretty new around here. This forum really makes me feel connected to the human experience, good and bad.

I took prozac, which helped a lot with the anxiety. I started taking Amitriptyline when I was diagnosed with vestibular migraines which helped with my dizziness and helped the anxiety even more... Also I was prescribed Botox which helped tremendously for my head tension.

Josh! You give me hope as I have the same symptoms you have had(especially the 24/7 dizziness) do you think you got better from taking the meds? Or is it possible to recover without them? Did you feel the meds are helping when taking them or maybe with time you just started to feel better and better...? I’m afraid of the pills and its side effects... but I don’t know if I will ever feel better... It’s a nightmare... sending hugs from Europe!

Hey Josh. Good to hear you’re feeling better! My dizziness is pretty much gone as well.
