How to Cope???

Hi...... I am struggling with generalized anxiety disorder... I feel alone and sometimes the feeling gets worse......I don't know how to cope... There is no one to talk to..... No one really understands. 😞😞😞😞

Try deep breathing excercises. I came here because my family and friends don't understand me either. It's hard and frustrating, but you are in the right place. If you are stressed out about things you needs to do, writing them out and writing out your plan of action on each might help. If it's general stress about life writing it out or talking about it might help. Listening to calming music might also help

Breath exercises like 4 second inhale, 7 second exhale work excellently.

I do yoga and meditation. It does help.

Journaling as suggested by Nothelpless is something else I do.

Talking and writing here is great. Excellent to communicate with people who understand.

Hi! I have suffered anxiety this past few weeks. Been there. But now i feel like It's just a roller coaster ride that we have to experience. To whatever makes you anxious face them head on! I recommend you to download Panic Away. You can read a step by step guide on how to overcome what you are feeling. Godbless ya mate! Hello bitterswit, am sorry to hear of what you are going through with anxiety. I want you to know that you are not alone, and you can survive and deal with this. I know that sometimes it can be hard to shake it off but in times like this you have to find things you can do that will distract you or help you feel better. Some people can never understand you until they have walked in your shoes. Don’t blame them because they just don’t understand even if you try to explain to them. I can understand that sometimes we need support from family and friends but life can leave us all alone by our self. In times like this we have to draw inspiration from within us and God. I have quotations at vantage point in my house that I constantly read to keep my mind focus. I also love watching movies and listening to inspirational music. Movies works for me, so I have paid for monthly subscription to watch whenever I need something to relax. You will have to explore other things to see what works for you.
