So I went to the doc today. Unfortunately the lumps in my neck have returned. bigger and brought some friends. neck is sore. Losing hair, constantly tired, and my skin is just dry all the time.
I've had these lumps over a year now. They've stayed the same size until now.
Got labs done. just waiting for the results. possible ultrasound in the future.
Well. Hoping for the best. Prepared for the worst.
Also, Has anyone had luck with presidone? Hoping for a smooth sailing with that steroid. This is my 4th antibiotic as well...
Tell me something positive. I need it.

Yeah I take them for lung disease helps with the inflammation/pain i take the gastro resistant ones ....red ones as had a stomach ulcer b4 but otherwise no get on with them ok why the need for them and antibiotics?how long for you to have to take them....the trick with meds imo if your a worrier .....not saying you are 🙂 is don’t read the patient info leaflets on side effects....it’s like googling symptoms
And you spoke truth bc the 1st thing I do when I get a new med is read the warning labels. As this one has a potential for heart failure. And I'm like noooope. but in the long run if it's my time to go it's my time.... having to accept this now.
Do you know anything about trigger points?myoficial pain?i get them in my neck sometimes ...really painful...stress related and can be caused by hyperventilating...I’m not saying google it😊 I get small lumps in my scalene muscles ..and stern o mastoid...ie collarbone...really painful 😖......just saying hope you’re day isn’t too painful....ps yeah ignore them leaflets...disclaimer Do you trust your doctor?as they will check any meds they give you for interactions and side effects so trust their opinion
Where are the lumps? With swollen lymph nodes possibly and hair loss, dry skin it could be your thyroid. Labs and ultrasound should diagnose that. Easily curable with meds and maybe thyroid out. Very common. Don't worry. You will be okay.
They're running a CBC. Cant wait for the results to come back. Not really worrying. I'm tired of my health anxiety controlling me! If it is something we've caught it early and can treat it I have got to start being more positive and claiming victory xx thank you for always sending positive thoughts ❤
These are all symptoms of Hypothyroidism (an Underactive Thyroid ).
Autoimmune Thyroiditis (known as Hashimoto's disease) is the most common cause of Hypothyroidism.
Ask your doctor to arrange an Ultrasound scan of your Thyroid.
Ask for the following blood tests :
TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies )
TgAb (Thyroglobulin Antibodies )
Free T3
Free T4
Total T4
TSH
Also ask to have some nutrients levels tested as you may have some deficiencies and need prescribed supplements (Especially Vitamin D )
Ask for:
Vitamin D
B12
Folate and Ferritin.
Anxiety and Depression are also caused by Hypothyroidism.
Look on the Thyroid UK website and search for 'symptoms of Underactive Thyroid' on there, see how many you have! You don't have to have all the symptoms on the list.
You could also look through some posts on the Thyroid forum.
