A cure for my anxiety

I was reading a book called "Life Force" by Tony Robbins. It was a pretty good book, but near the end, there was talk about a shot that goes in the neck (of all places!) that can help with anxiety.

I decided to look further into it. I read a couple white papers, and later found video after video of people claiming that it essentially cured their anxiety. The shot is called "Stellate Ganglion Block" (SGB) The idea is the body's "fight or flight" response, depending on the situation, can get heightened over time, which may lead to increased anxiety. SGB is just a local anesthetic. There are two nerves on the left and right side of the neck, the stellate ganglion, where the brain communicates with the parasympathetic nervous system. The shot goes on one side, and blocks the cortisol response in the nerve.

Eventually, after thorough research, I bit the bullet and got the shot. I found a place 30 minutes from where I live that does it. The shot is NOT covered by insurance, and is very expensive. That said, I feel great now! I haven't had an anxiety attack in over sixty days, and more to the point, I don't even worry about having an anxiety attack any more because my anxiety is so much lower.

I recommend you do some research if you're interested, and of course, consult with a medical professional. Still, this is a recommendation from myself, especially if you have a history of anxiety attacks.

Wow, this is very interesting. Never heard of SBG before. I know all too well about “fight or flight” syndrome, so I’m sure that I would be a good candidate for this. Will ask my doc about it. Of course insurance doesn’t cover it. Why does that not surprise me? Thanks for sharing this.👍

Hi there. Acceptance of your symptoms is the best tranquilliser.

Your fight flight mechanism is the body's natural defence to protect itself from imminent danger. Its just got a bit trigger happy because you hate the symptoms so much so it keeps the fight flight response on full alert and triggering off. A bit like a well oiled gun trigger, as opposed to a rusty one! It's the best analogy I could think if right now!

Lose your fear of the symptoms and your fight flight response will stand down.

Read up on Dr Claire Weekes and practice her teachings in full. Recovery will follow.

Hope this helps ❤️
