I poked myself w/ a q tip last weekend. I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow. The tinnitus is driving me insane.
I was down today. I did my best to show up. My wife and I fought badly.*
This ringing in my ear is killing me.
*You only get me side of the story, and you only get my side of the story when I'm particularly upset. I promise you neither of us is the bad guy; we are both fighting like hell to stay together for our son. And so we fight b/c we're human beings and we're in pain and we love each other and we have no one else to fight with. I'm not saying it's healthy or anything. I'm just saying, please don't get the impression that I'm doing my best and she isn't or is bringing me down or anything.

Hi. Have you watched the movie Fireproof? It from around 2009, starring Kirk Cameron. If you order it off eBay or Amazon it comes with the workbook: The Love Dare, from the movie. Quite interesting movie that I won't ruin the plot on, but you and your wife should take the time to watch it. Good Luck with your relationship.
I thought tinnitus was caused from prolonged exposure to loud noise? I never heard it happening from a q-tip accident.
Tinnitus is a symptom of many things, including scratching your eardrum with a stick
Ive had tinnitis for years in both ears. At night I run a fan for background noise so I dont hear it. It is very annoying. Hopefully yours will go away.
I've been listening to mountain stream youtube videos while I work to drown it out. I also read someone say that they were trying to meditate and couldn't focus on their breath b/c of the tinnitus so they chose to focus on that instead. It does provide some form of relief, if you're into that sort of thing.
