I just freaked out!! I was driving home from the bank and as I was waiting for the light to turn green. I turned my head to look out my window and BAM a sharp pain that went from my chest to my back on the right side. Never have I felt such bad pain. I’d describe it as if someone shot a bow n arrow through me.

Chest pain
Is the pain gone?
Yes
GoId thing is it's gone. Now the next question is what was it?
The pain felt like a cramp, then I got hot and my hands got sweaty.
Do you have a dr you can call. Just run the symptoms by them?
No unfortunately
Urgent care or ER if it happens again
Thats all you can do to be safe.
Yes. I just wonder if it has part to my on going anxiety/depression that I’ve been dealing with as of late. I’m 36 yr old height 5’11 175lbs I just don’t get it
Yes we can get all kinds of symptoms from suffering anxiety and depression. I have them too. Unfortunately the first time around with something you can't just chalk it up to anxiety. Things should be checked for safety.
That's how I feel about it.
I hope it doesn't amount to anything.
Anxiety is the worst and can really mess with us
I’m so done with it!😞
I’ve been to 3 different cardiologists and I’ve had blood work, ekgs, echocardiogram and chest X-rays and all have care back normal. That’s what I don’t get. The only thing that I’ve been told I have are pvcs and that I should not worry about it. But how can you not?
PVC can be annoying for sure. You've had a lot of testing done so that's great.
I'm not comfortable in the forum yet to give advice and not follow that up with see someone or call someone.
That's my anxiety lol, what if I gave the wrong info or suggestion.
Believe me I've had my share of sharp shooters thru the chest lol. Scary for sure.
I hope you have meds to help you handle the anxiety? A therapist? Those two things work for me
Ceelos81, the pain felt like a cramp because it most likely was.
I've gotten that myself at times, just as you described it's like you got
shot with an arrow. Your muscles must have been so tight as you
were driving and when you turned your head, the large muscle down
your neck and into your chest and upper back were triggered giving you
an excruciating pain.
Getting hot and sweaty palms was the results of your fear which shot
adrenaline throughout you. It's gone now isn't it? You are okay. You
are safe. We are human and anxious beings...Things will happen at times
that are not life threatening. We have to learn to distinguish when we need
to call the doctor or go to the ER. We want to be safe but we also don't want
to over react. It's good to share these issues with others on the forum. It
helps in getting the support and understanding you need. Feel better xx
