I am new here

Hello everyone. I am new in this forum. I used to be a perfectionist, high achiever type person, but my life knocked me down. Now I am a procrastinator and a looser type person. I am struggling very hard to take control of my life. I am that person who wears a mask and never shows his true face. My parents, friends all of them think I am happy, I am fine. They got no idea how much I hate myself. They don't understand what goes on my mind. I used to think I am weird and I am the only one in this world. Well, it needless to say that I was very wrong. Somehow I got to know about this forum. So, signed up. I just want to be heard. I hope I will also be able to support other members whenever it is possible.

Hi

You are really welcome. I have GAD and also have experienced depression. If you are able to talk to someone in your family or a close friend I think it will help even if they cannot understand fully what you are going through.

Feel free to message me anytime.

Kim

hey dolphin,

I don't have a therapist. I became my own therapist. I started reading a lots of things on the internet. I believe I am very close to get my answers regarding my suffering. If all these things don't work out for me then I will have a therapist.

It's great to self educate. I read a lot of stuff. There's so much information out there.

That's awesome you do that and recognize if you need help you will seek it.

Best of luck to you. And you are not a loser. You are going through a rough patch and our negative self image tells us we are not worthy. The fact that we are working to better ourselves shows that we are winners.

You know fox006, if I learned anything throughout my years of therapy

it's that the answer lies within each and everyone of us. The therapist may

guide us to the right path but we have to be the one moving forward. They

cannot do it for us. I too have become my own advocate now and I don't

think that's a bad idea for you to find the answers for yourself.

I use YouTube as my "go to" everyday. Meditation and DeepBreathing have

become a learned behavior for me. But I'm always researching and discovering

new ways to help myself. I'm glad you are here on the forum. We learn from

each other. And mostly we no longer have to feel alone. One step at a time :) xx
