Hi iv been on 50 mg of sertline for 5 weeks now. Although I feel a lot better now and the side affects have subsided thank goodness. I still don’t feel that it’s working so well for my anxiety. Don’t know wether to carry on for another couple of weeks on the 50mg or see doctor nxt wk and increase the dosage. Any suggestions would be appriciated please x

Hi Lynsey! I was actually going through something similar but for my anxiety and depression. I’m glad the side effects are passing too!! They were unbearable! They say that it’s good to stick to it for 6 or 8 weeks! We’ve gotten so far so let’s hang in there. They say it’s a good sign that things improved a bit, we need a bit more patience. ;)

You will get back to work soon! You’ll see, it just feels impossible at times but it’s a process, slow process but I’m so glad you have some “alright days” compared to nothing, it’s a very good sign!

I'm on it as well, started off slowly and gradually increased dosage to maximum 200 mg. It hasn't improved my anxiety levels as much as I was told it would do but has helped as don't hyperventilate as much as I used to. I certainly agree with you about increasing dosage and I hope your doctor will as well. I've been on it for nearly 3yearsn now. Hope this helps xx

Sorry to be vague but think sideffects go with the medication regardless of the dosage,it just all takes time and patience. Don't rush back to work,I'm sure you will feel better soon xx
