hi ,I did look it up but like everthing else my anxiety takes control.I certainly will look into it again ,,,have had CBT.course online that too hasn't received any attention,im getting worse(2months now, think my cats passing hasn't helped my mentlal state. How are you today have you been busy.

I don't understand why you are looking up symptoms on the Internet. Sometimes, that's the worse thing to do.

If you just type in "Alpha course" and your area - see what comes up. But it's really up to you . . . .

I suggested it as I thought it would help, thought it's something you might enjoy and find helpful too.

yes,it was indeed a foolish thing to do and im regretting it.but cant ask GP anything so what else could I do im not racing against time trying to get myself reasonably well to keep going in this miserable world of which im just a part off and no more.

It's good to come on here to chat & support each other. I think, though , that if you find a Church or Chapel near you that's running an Alpha Course then you could really benefit from meeting a few people. If you're shy about meeting others then you could tell the course leader or minister in confidence.

Thankyou Mary,it been a long boring (extra)waiting on a phone-call that I doubt I will get now.they shouldn't lie.yes,I will mention it and look it up soon ,im just trying to do some chores so I will sleep!

I hate waiting for a phone call.

Did she say by 4pm or after 4pm? If after, I suppose it could be anytime between now and 6.30 pm.

They should make it clear.

How are your symptoms now?

I have chronic sinusitis.

lorianxiety profile image
lorianxiety• in reply toMary-intussuception

Hi ,IM not sure what she meantas I don't like to phone as a rule----ithis is new phoning afternoon.Sinus aren't bothering me (its lack of mucuos)but the fact that im flushing for no apparent reason.its been like that for around ayear.how does your sinus affect you,do you have to clear them out,how do you manage it,is there pain!

Mary-intussuception profile image
Mary-intussuception• in reply tolorianxiety

I just get on with it.

I have numerous medical conditions & disabilities. I don't have normal bowel function and that's been really stressful lately.

About sinuses - I had xrays and surgery back in 1989 & 1990. I have to keep warm. Wear a hat etc.

They don't do sinus wash-outs anymore. Not too bad today but I also have narrowing in throat and post nasal drip. Sometimes I wake up exhausted. I'm better off sitting upright. Just rely on prayer & Bible & singing. Always helps. Every morning is a battle, so we have to overcome and fight on.

Mary,I am so sorry to hear of your ailments, its not like me to go on and moan --now I realise that there are so many of us worse off .Sinus can be washed out yourself if it helps that why I asked.I have the container there received around 2yrs ago from ENT.I have had Ibs-though that's cleared after I finished my work...Whats causing your bowel problem or don't you know.is no fun having that to contend with all day as you said you just have to get on with it-that's my phonecall now thank goodness 5.30pm

Have you ever had blood tests to check your Thyroid Gland function ?

Anxiety and Depression are symptoms of an Underactive Thyroid - and so is cold intolerance (there are others).

lorianxiety profile image
lorianxiety• in reply toMary-intussuception

I think a thyroid test was included,in last yearstests, also mydepression and anxiety go back to when younger---but this cold thing could also be my red blood cells (that carry oxygen)I have been aware of mental health since I was around 16yrs--a very long time ago!

Mary-intussuception profile image
Mary-intussuception• in reply tolorianxiety

Do you have Anemia then?

The regular Thyroid Function blood tests results aren't always reliable on their own. It's best to ask for Thyroid Antibodies to be tested : TPO and TgAb.

Have a read of some posts on Thyroid forum sometime.

Look up " symptoms of an Underactive Thyroid " on the Thyroid UK website sometime.

was diagnosed in 2017,I think it was the fact that I bought Acia berry tablets Holland /Baratt and lost about 1stone in weight within 4months.Iwasnt terribly overweight and never thought they would work and I noticed my face was extremely pale and went and got iron tested.Would not recommend it and was a silly thing to do.

Mary-intussuception profile image
Mary-intussuception• in reply tolorianxiety

Have you recovered now or are you still Anemic

lorianxiety profile image
lorianxiety• in reply toMary-intussuception

I recovered after several courses of iron tabs.the lossof blood from losing weight was indeed dangerous especially when older----have you ever did a diet/crash diet, quite serious if I hadn't noticed my change in colour, thats why im worried about going red as its really not happened before....

Mary-intussuception profile image
Mary-intussuception• in reply tolorianxiety

I wouldn't go on a crash diet.

What did the doctor say about the Red colour? Is it all down to anxiety?

lorianxiety profile image
lorianxiety• in reply toMary-intussuception

No I don't like diets and I always eat healthy but that was a big mistake.Well have only ever spoken to the female dr once since I joined-she knows im getting a lung function nthis month,so that will determine if I have any lung disease/astma-----anxiety is definitely the main cause though I feel that my lung function can improve with more exercise -ie walking!

Hi. I think if it was Sinus you would certainly know it because I went to the dentist with raging toothache and he told me I had sinusitis and nothing wrong with teeth . It really is painful. You don't want to have that 😽

lorianxiety profile image
lorianxiety• in reply toBoohPear

hi yes sinus can be very debilitating ,and as you say painful, its just I thought my sinus had dried up,meaning there was some congestion somewhere as there was a slight whistle sound which is no longer there-----and its only been a few months since its been gone.iI was prone to congestion and steam inhalation is the only cure-hope your sinus is better now.

Sunnidayz1 profile image
Sunnidayz1• in reply tolorianxiety

I had bronchitis about 2 months ago. It was horrible. I think that whistling is wheezing, right? I was wheezing. The congestion was trapped. Dr gave me nasal spray, steroids, and told me to rest up. I JUST got over the cough.

Hang in there Lori!

lorianxiety profile image
lorianxiety• in reply toSunnidayz1

Glad you overcome your bronchitis,i don't know what you would call this ,it seemed like nasal congestion, and its now only a light whistle in one nostril.Have you taken lots of vitaminCand zinc..never had bronchitis or a cold for years.i am highly allergic to dust and my room isn't dust free ….have to sort that out been saying that for a very long while.
