I’m really worried about my swallowing it started in January when I choked on some steak and had to stick my finger down my throat to dislodge it. And ever since my swallowing has been feeling weaker when I eat my mouth feels with spit and my cheeks blow out and I just feel like I can’t eat the way I did.
My whole family say I shouldn’t be worried I’m eating the same smiling and there are are points where it’s ok. But I’ve been to see 4 doctors who all say it’s fine what do I do?
Almost choking is quite a traumatic experience. No wonder you're worried about it every time you eat. Maybe just concentrate on chewing everything you eat extra carefully and stay away from things like steak for a few weeks, until you feel more confident? Soft foods like rice and pasta aren't a big choking hazard, maybe try those. I'm sorry you had to go through that experience.
I think you should try to make an effort to believe in what the doctors told you. Maybe you have health related anxiety?If so, you have to keep telling yourself everything is okay, because it is
