Welcome, it is a big step. I held back for so long thinking it would be useless. But when people respond you realize there are carrying people and sometimes people with similar situations. Keep fighting

I just recently joined myself, and I am happy I did. I also suffer from anxiety and depression. Most days, I can hardly pull myself out of bed. I feel like I live in a state of fight or flight, or gloom and doom.

Great job its not always easy to take the 1st step.
What you must take in account are 2 possible situation, both of them ending the same. Firt one you are alone and you are fighting alone, in that case you should recover very fast to be able to work and get money for treatments. The second one is when you are not alone, you have family, friends that help you . In that case, for you and for them you should also try to recover fast. In both cases you should go to a doctor and get pills.
I will respectfully disagree with this ENTIRE post! Everything does NOT require medication. Of course anyone may feel ALONE when it comes to anxiety or depression. That does not mean you are actually alone, you don’t have to recover alone either.
Agreed I have tried medication, no longer use it, and want to do it without it if possible which I think it is. It’s not about fast recovery either it takes as long as it takes and it’s ongoing. You can’t do it to please or make others feel better.
Well, if you are alone without family or friend you need money for treatments and for this you need to work and for work you need good heath.That the reason you need a fast recovery. And if you tell me that you feel better without pills then you don't have deppresion

Some days are better for me than others so I thanK God one good days and struggle with Him through others. Have you tried journaling?? I find it helps me so much to put what I am feeling on paper

Welcome. You'll get mostly good advice here. And I can tell from you're reply above, you'll do fine coping with unwelcome advice. Mostly folks are trying to help whether you agree or not. Using PM is good as well. Take it easy my friend. : )
