I tried Theanine it works but watch out if you have ibs it will give you fits!
I took a medication of melatonin and l-theanine to help me sleep. It seemed to work well! It was with the vitamins in the drugstore.
I've read lots of articles that say that magnesium deficiency is a major cause of anxiety. I've been taking magnesium supplements for several months but it hasn't helped; however, I'm taking a low dose and my anxiety is mostly "situational."
I tried the L-Thianine tablets to counter the effects of cortisol , it had no effect. I tried the Green Tea tablets containing L-Thianine at a lower concentration, it had no effect. Strangely, when I drink brewed Green Tea with comparatively low concentrations of L-Thianine I get the impression it helps. Placebo effect? If it works don't fix it.
I had tried GABA but no luck. I read that it really doesnt work great in tablet form. I have tried L-theanine for under the tounge. Some mild effectiveness with that. I have had some success with CALM.. it is a MG supplement that you just add to water. Alot of times we are low on MG.
Only OTC supplement that chilled me out was valerian root....but take to much and you will be sleepy
