Hello,
I’m headed back to work after being off for 2 weeks and the feeling of dread is overwhelming. I really don’t want to go and have been laying on the couch all day. How do you deal with feelings of dread?
Thank you!

I was where you are last Tuesday, knowing I had to go back to work after being off for a week and a half. I don't know what kind of job you have but I did push myself to do some work for school (I am a teacher) and that did help me to get in a better mindset. Actually all I did was make up math review packets for my math classes. It was something simple to do and help me feel better about what I was going to do in all of my classes the first day back. Of course I, like you, sat on the couch all day and didn't start to do the work until the evening but it did help. Is there something simple you could do for yourself or for work that could help take your mind of the fact that you do have to go back?
Thank for that
Made it through the first day!
Oh my gosh-I totally get you! I had two weeks off and had to go back to the office, knowing no one did my work while I was gone. Here's what I did....I took in a new coffee cup that makes me happy, changed my desktop pic to happy beach *cause I loathe winter, and added a couple of 'desk toys' In other words, I put stuff around me that would make me look forward to going to the office. Oh, and I bought a special tea I like that I only allow myself to drink at the office. So far, it's all working!
Good ideas! I hope they’re working for you! I think I’ll get a new coffee cup too
