I’m grieving the death of my dog and it comes in waves. It’s still really new, only happened yesterday, but I felt like I was doing better today. I would think of good memories of her and smile when I see pictures. Yet randomly throughout the day I’ll just think about her and start crying. How do I feel better?

I'm so sorry about the loss of your furry friend. I've gone through that myself and

understand the pain and loss you feel. Only time will allow you to feel better.

You need to grieve and cry and let out your sadness. One day at a time will get

you through. xx

You just move forward and keep all the memories of your furry one with you forever. I just lost my cat this week and I am keeping myself busy. I have yet to put any of his stuff away. Its just ONE day at a time.

Kglassman and Jozey ... so sorry for your loss! I had to put a kitty down 4 yrs ago and i still have moments of grief. My pets are like a part of the family. They have a special place in my heart.

Hi kglassman,

What you’re feeling is very normal. Allow yourself to feel the grief and to progress the emotions as they come.

The bonds we have with our pets is very strong. We mourn them often as we would any other family member.

You will feel better with time. I promise.

Best wishes

Hello, I know just how you feel. I lost my little dog just a month after my husband in August last year. My husband in July and 2 months before that my sister. I like to think that my little dog went to keep my husband company. It has been very tough but it does get better. It leaves a scar that will always be there but like a scar it is part of you. I cry out the blue at things that just switch something on but just like a switch it switches off again. The emotions you feel are normal for a loss. You gave your love to your furry pal that is all that is needed.

Not what you're looking for?
