Does anyone else ever notice that you can have a multitude of people around you and still feel lonely?

yeah when I go out I tend to be at the back of things more often than not I find it hard to mingle and have long conversations with them.

I miss not having someone special in my life to share the weekends with, and ESPECIALLY the holidays. It will be 3 years in February that I have not had someone special, and now that the holidays are here, I'm REALLY feeling it.

I sometimes feel even more lonely when I'm around a lot of people, especially if they are having a conversation about their spouses, vacations, and other stuff that couples do together.
