Some hope

My daughter had her pre op appointment today. The doctor gave us hope. He anticipates a smooth surgery with a great chance for success and no risks. I'm still scare of the "what if."

Coming from someone who went through two rough years of cardiac surgery and a stroke with my dad I learned you have to focus on the positive when you have depression. My family was all about the what if’s and I had to keep reminding myself of the positives to be strong for them. I hope she does well and this kind of helps

Saying a prayer for you and your daughter, Aaron.

And asking my Mom to watch over her. She is in Heaven and is my secret weapon.

No worries.

aaronm, I agree with tjensen in that you have gotten a "head's up" from the doctors

and you need to let go of the "what ifs" and put a Positive foot forward. Believe in

that you daughter will be in good hands and the surgery will be a success tomorrow.

It's going to be okay. You are not alone

So happy for your good news. Any surgery has some risk, but technology advances have greatly reduced those risks. Try to focus on the positive opportunities to help lessen your daughter's stress. Prayers for peace and a smooth recovery.
