Anyone with bipolar disorder out there how do you know when the mania hits I been in a depression slumped for months now but sometimes I do get anxious and feel like I might not sleep I think mania is scarier than depression i don’t want to act out becoming a freak to society

When I go into mania I get very happy, talkative, very energetic, and I will not sleep for 48 hours or longer.
