Hi, I'm taking several antidepressants myself I know it's a combination of therapy and antidepressants are supposed to help . I can relate to you on the medications I hope you feel💕 better pretty soon
My current therapist told me that its only temporary and it goes away. I wish i had better advice for you. But for me right now currently nothing is working for me
are you taking a mood stabilizer with your antidepressant. If not the antidepressant will swing you into mania. I don’t have much advice on medication that helps with depression as I have gone through several this past year without any relief in my depression. I am also wondering if any of the atypical antipsychotic medications have been tried as these can be helpful with the depression. I wish you the best.
I am Bipolar I and used to be manic but now having an awful time with severe major depression. I hope I can find something soon. I take rexulti right now also an atypical antipsychotic but it doesn’t really seem to be doing much. Of late have tried latuda which I felt awful on and caplyta which I had an allergic reaction to. I currently have had lamictal added to my medication concoction and I have been on it for several weeks but things just seem to be getting worse. I also have seasonal affective disorder and that doesn’t help at this time of the year.
I tried a half-dozen antidepressants without success and then did a psychopharmacological test that used my dna to determine which meds were best suited for me genetically. I started on one it recommended (Pristiq) and it has worked. It also showed that none of the meds I had tried previously were suited for me. My test was from Genesight and paid for by my insurance, I live in the US and don't know if it's available elsewhere but there are probably other brands available.
