Hello everyone! I'm new here and wanted to get to know other people that are here. I have anxiety due to PTSD and was wondering if anyone else does too. Right now I'm anxious because Friday was my last day at work, and I thought that today was the start of my new job. Not true. I have this week off, then I start. I'm just not sure that I can handle it financially. I could really use the money. I'm very anxious about this!

I also have PTSD, anxiety, panic disorder and depression and ADD. I know about the stress financially. That is such a hard thing to deal with. Since you know you will be starting your new job in a week just lay low for the week. How long do you have to work before you get your first paycheck? Hopefully it won't be long. Hang in there. Good days will come.

The 29th is orientation, so I will find out about when I can get paid. Hopefully soon.

You are not alone, so take comfort in that. My diagnoses are: bipolar, anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD. money is a big source of stress, but you fortunately won't have any employment gaps or periods of unemployment. Take a few deep breaths, it will work out.

So sorry for the lag in finances. It may be tight, but there are a few things you can try. If there is a bill(s) due, contact them and ask for an extension of 1-2 weeks based on the job change. They may or may not agree to it, but it would be worth trying. As an anxiety sufferer myself, this next part is from experience. Try not to "what if" the situation. We can create the worst case scenarios faster than the average person, which just feeds anxiety. Consider this a week to catch up on a hobby, reading, household chores, etc. Actually, time between jobs is a good idea to prepare for the change. Try to relax and enjoy the free time. Good luck at the new job.

Thanks Pam!!! I never thought of contacting bill people for extensions. Great idea!
