You all by now know that I am in college and I also work 30-40 hours a week. Last week was homecoming and I took the nights off to go hang out at the bars with friends but when I got home from work all I wanted to do was sleep and hang out at home so I never went out. How do I get rid of this feeling of never wanting to leave my house (other than class and work)?

How do you get the energy to go out?
Oh, you do have a busy life Wemble. So many of you young folk, have so much to do, these days. Unsurprised that you don't feel up to going out with friends. It,ll pass though. Everything does. I'm sure you,ll feel up to going out n have more time for leisure, after you finish at College. Good luck 😊🌻✌️
So first of all - LOVE your username! And second, I know the feeling. It's so hard trying to find that balance between friends, work, and school, especially when school and work dominate most of your life. What if you tried slower, shorter outings? Like meet up with one close friend for coffee for a couple hours every two weeks? Or tell yourself that you'll go out for drinks one night a month and you'll stay out until 11.
Taking it slow and starting with an hour out at a time, or meeting up with a friend to go for a walk around campus and just chat, can be super helpful. And then maybe from there you can start to build up that energy to staying out longer and learning how to enjoy things again.
I really hope this helps you! Hang in there!
I'm not surprised as you are doing such a lot. We all need rest you know and no one's energy is endless. x
