Hello, I am sorry you have this affliction. I have been cursed with high anxiety this year along with with clinical depression. I have been receiving treatment, the Psych. Dr. does not want me on Xanax or a benzodiazapan as they can become addictive. He has me on Gabapentin 300 mg 4 times a day. Has tried some other pills, and we just got lucky, he put me on Viibryd 20 mg that was just 2 weeks ago, and I am back to functioning like my old self. I would find myself a Dr. and get some help, no need to suffer when the right med. is out there for you. Talk to us, we can probably help you, and we care as we are fellow sufferers and like to help each other. I send you strength and love. Sprinkle 1......

p.s. Do not be worried about awkward, we do not care about that, we care about helping each other, and being helped ourselves. xx

It's amazing how much talking to people that are or have going through the same thing as you. No one seems to judge on here. You have definitely come to the right place.

Hey physicalman welcome aboard. My own "anxiety resume" is relatively light, but now that I know what to look for, I see how pervasive it is in my life. Often, as soon I start to relax, another life event comes along or I just plain relapse. Keep your eyes open as you're clearly doing, and be comforted by the idea that you're not alone.

You might try journaling about what you're worried about in the future. Just write it down on paper in whatever words' come to mind. For me, I just straight up dictating to the page the thoughts. After writing it out, give it a moment or two to breathe and reread it. This isn't a magic bullet by any means, but doing this will a) get your thought out of your head and b) put them somewhere for you to objectively analyze.
