Anyone try any supplements for OCD/anxiety? I’ve taken herbal supplements for other issues and they’ve helped so wondering if anyone has tried some for these “issues”.

That I’ve used or that I’m asking about? I had kidney issues that i was constantly on antibiotics for and found D-Mannose and it literally stopped my issues.

As far as ones I wonder about would be like kava and whatnot.

Yes and they have been really helpful. Also believing in naturopathic values has been helpful too since I have major health and contamination ocd/anxiety. A had consultation with an ND who really emphasized the power of our immunity, told me my body has an intelligence to heal itself, and that he will tell patients to give a health issue time for the body to work it out. I always used to rush to the doctor worried that if so did not a worst case scenario could happen. As for herbs, I took certain tests on my hair and urine to see what metals, nutrients, and other levels of things were lacking in my body. The gut is where a majority of your seratonin is produced, the thing that is OCDers apparently lack. Proof of a gut/ocd connection is medical journal study that proves children with streptococcus infections are more likely to develop OCD. So it made sense to me when the Natropath said getting my gut healthy was essential. I ended up being prescribed lots of things to cleans and protect my gut, Bach flowers, also minerals, and certain supplements for my mind. I highly recomend getting in touch with a naturopath and looking into a OATS test before trying out new herbs on your own.

I was 300 Luvox and it was not that effective and I was a zombie. The herbs I am taking now are just as effective and I feel physically healthier. I still suffer greatly from OCD. I am out of therapy and I really think once I get back in that I will get better. I used to throw away my sneakers if they had something on the bottom and it would take me all morning to get the courage to put them on. Now I can put on my shoes much easier and if they get a little something on them I can reware them.
