Tomorrow I graduate as a medical assistant. I didn’t want to walk. However my dad wanted me to so badly I agreed to stay and do this before moving back home. I hate being center of attention it makes me anxious enough, but everyone in my family is bothering me about every little thing. I have felt sick all day from the stress of family. Everyone keeps saying I need to enjoy this time. Especially since I did not walk for high school graduation. I’m so stressed by family I’ve had a head and been nauseous. I cannot sleep. I also ran out of my antidepressant and haven’t been able to get it refilled for over a week now. I’m starting to feel the effects, but not sure if it’s just my family getting under my skin as they’ve done since i was a small child. How am I supposed to deal with pressure of family with everything. There is so much more but I’d need a book to explain it all. Just feeling fearful and wanting sleep.

Hello sandeal20!

I understand about family pressure. Do you think that they’re well-intentioned? If so, then try your very best to enjoy this time in your life like they want to enjoy this time! They’re excited for you and therefore, driving you crazy! Running out of your medication for a whole week is a sure fire way of screwing things up for you. You need to get that filled as soon as possible! Congratulations on your amazing achievement! I know it takes work and dedication! I’m in the medical field too. It’s crazy, but you should enjoy it...great to help others! I’m excited for you too! See how easy it really is to be happy for you?

Thank you, this has helped cheer me up! I think in many ways it has good intentions but in many ways it’s not. I will do my best though to enjoy it.

Congratulations! I'll bet you worked hard, and are quite good with math and science. Graduation from college is a big deal, so enjoy. May you also find meaningful employment with a nice group of people.
