I hope you are OK. Are you in therapy?

I’m not currently. Although I do greatly need it, I have no insurance coverage. Thank you for your concern and reply ♥️

I was agoraphobic for fourteen years. I read a ton of self help books and had to overcome it myself. It’s not easy.

I’ve read dozens, they help me for a short period and then the feeling comes back. It’s definitely not easy to battle. Thank you for your response. It feels good to know I’m not alone in this

Yes! How I wish I had the internet when I was homebound. The internet was still new and all that we had was dial up. 56k modem lol. It is a horrible affliction. Don’t give up! Their is hope.

Hi can u give me some tips how to ivercome agoraphobia i am scaret to be alone or go out alone i have panic attacks every time i am alone but if i have someone next ro me i am fine thanks Kate

I would start out with small steps. You could go out with someone but have your safe person walk a few steps ahead of you. Or have your safe person wait in the car. But set a goal. For example.

Go out to the store and drive with your safe person. The safe person walks into the store with you but you split up and you buy something and checkout alone. Your safe person waits inside the store. Then once that becomes comfortable you can have your safe person wait outside the store while you shop. Then after that becomes comfortable the safe person waits in the car. See the trick to beating panic attacks is to slowly desensitize yourself to them. You want to set goals that allow you to feel some discomfort but aren’t so hard that you can’t reach them. Start out small and if you do it right you should feel some discomfort but still be able to finish your goal.

Can you give me any names of books that you think really helped? I can't stand this Agoraphobia much longer. Ty

I feel for you. I mildly have it. Other than work or the grocery store I’m always at home. I have social anxiety and it’s hard. I know what you’re experiencing. You’re not alone by any means.

It's just unexplainable!

I got it to! It's devestating & really detours your life! It's very sad & not really explainable!

It can be a challenge yet I don’t beat myself up about it either. It’s just who I am... so why think less of myself about it?

I don't think less of myself, I just miss doing alot of things. 😊

I hear you.

On good days, taking a walk while listening to classical music works wonders for me.
