Very common with myself as well as the rest of us. Our anxious mind is trying to absorb every thought that comes by which is literally impossible to keep calm and collected unless we let go and live in the present moment. Thinking about the past and going down the road to the future and the "what ifs" just overwhelms our senses and does nothing but make our anxiety rise.

Using some "me time" to quiet the mind and body can help even for just 5-10 minutes.

I usually go to YouTube and watch a guided video with a self soothing voice take me into the present moment. And for those few moments, I don't feel as overwhelmed. All the busy thoughts are released. We are never alone in how we feel :) xx

Yes, very common for me. It was very bad when I was working and had very stressful and time critical job. I used to live the room and find some place where I can be alone and do breathing exercises. Meditation is also helps. You can even talk to yourself and slow down your mind... and breath deeply at the same time. Writing a list of your tasks ... or journalizing your thoughts also helps.

Hugs to you, take it easy please.

Oh yes, when I’m stressing my mind goes bonkers and thoughts race.

Absolutely.. it feels like my mind is always racing and like sometimes it's just going to explode and it overwhelms me so much at times.

does your mind ever race so bad you do something physically? Like, bouncing your knee or scratching your arms?

Litetally it can be so overwhelming I will scratch or pinch myself to try to get out of it and distract myself. Not in a self harming way but just to temporarily distract myself. I know there’s probably other things to do but it helps. Or Sometimes I snap a hair tie on my wrist.

Absolutely we feel you. I'm also like that most of the time right now I can't control my emotions ! I can't control it it's pretty intense & I'm about to explode. TONS of negative thoughts on my mind keeps on repeating itself. It's out of control. How can you stop those negative thoughts ! Please help me make it stop! I'm having a hard time calming down! Thanks for the help.

Sometimes when I get really stressed out or overwhelmed I shut down. I just lay on the couch or in my bed and just lay there for a little bit. Other times I feel like I can't focus on anything because there are so many things to worry about and my mind wonders in every direction.
