I feel like I've tried everything and for a while trying nothing was working, I made myself feel the pain then let it was over me now giving the thoughts focus, I was good last week then today it's back in full force I am drowning and it's effecting everything, I am so over this feeling I just wish it would go away

Hi UglyDuckling546

Developing a genuine attitude of acceptance can take time and doesn't usually happen overnight.

You have to pass through many storms and setbacks [not really a setback but feels like it is] until you reach a point where you honestly don't care about the anxiety even when it is at its most venomous.

Experience gained passing through each storm with as much acceptance you can muster [it gets easier with practice] will eventually start to pay off and you will lose interest in your anxiety, no longer complain about or continually seek reassurance about existing or weird new symptoms because you know it's just anxiety and all completely harmless. This is what an attitude of acceptance looks like.

You lose your fear [aka intense dislike..."I wish it would all go away 😱"] of the symptoms and anxiety cannot survive without it. The passing of time will do the rest.

The by product of acceptance is peace of mind and body.

Hope this helps!

Yes I understand and I felt like I was getting better, I guess there will be many more hurdles before it get easier I am accepting the feelings as they come.I don't mean to complain

Unfortunately UglyDuckling546, we cannot wish fear away. We can however take a

few minutes to reset our output of fear and anxiety through acceptance that we are safe.

When under intense anxiety, I find that short medication can allow us to calm our senses.

One that I found helps immensely is on YouTube..

"3 minute Guided Breathing/Relief from Intense Anxiety"

by Mindful Peace.

This is short and yet effective. Please give it a try and go into your safe place. Breathe :) xx

Hello,

I also feel overwhelmed with where I am vs where I want to be. Because of stress and anxiety, I crave connection to others more than ever. If you need that connection and support, I think we are the first to be able to understand and help.. hopefully

You are actually doing great! I am going thru the same thing now. Every other day it feels intense, then I feel better. I feel like I have done everything in the book to heal ... from plant medicine, sweat lodges, Tibetan buddhism, EMDR, Sound healing, Shamanic healing .... I believe it is a process of accepting where we are in the present moment and not fighting it. I notice the more I wish to push it away, the stronger it gets and more negative thoughts come. For me it is the intense feelings in the body that seem difficult to handle, but know that these feelings are not us. We are only love. Allow it all to come and go, in time peace will come to you. I woke up with intense anxiety today and am feeling better just sharing this with you. Thank you for sharing.

😩 it’s so awful isn’t it, I hope your ok

I feel exactly the same, feel like I’m trying so hard but it’s so hard!

It’s good that you was doing better last week, try not to be too hard on yourself, it has a habit of creeping back up, it’s been a proper rollercoaster of a few months for me ups and downs (more downs unfortunately)

Have you tried changing your diet? I had a strong reduction in anxiety symptoms eating more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes, and cutting back on meat, dairy, and eggs (I actually don't eat any of those last three things). The anxiety reduction has just compounded with continually eating this way over time.

There are some good videos here: nutritionfacts.org/topics/a...

Yes I eat pretty healthy overall but have made numerous changes it doesn't seem to make a difference, the thing is I have been fine for a.while and this started up again recently so I'm not sure if it's hormone related
