Feeling overwhelmed

I've been checking my mouth for cancer in so many areas , been to the dentist 3 x snd oral surgeon twice , I have a tiny bump inside the underoart of my tongue , you can't see it but you can feel it and it's not going away, I bit that area very hard about 3 weeks ago and it's healed, but I don't know if it's from the bite or it was there and didn't notice it before. But I have a follow up appt with surgeon again to check again , she dose not think it's anything but says if I want to I can get a biopsy but she rather not. Should I believe her?

Our anxiety tends to exaggerate all

sometimes we make our symptoms out to be a bigger deal than they actually are- it is the anxiety talking. for me, i freak out about cavities occasionally and fixate on a certain tooth or a fixate on my pores on my face. we exaggerate our symptoms to the point we freak ourselves out.

if i was you, i would trust the professional, take a deep breath, and be grateful it is nothing harmful.

if you need help to stop fixating on it, try distracting yourself every time you think about it. like instead of going to the mirror to look at it or touching it, go talk to a family member or go for a walk or draw or do something with your hands.

Well I go back for a recheck tomorrow and the bump is still there. I asked on my last visit , if it was still there does that mean it's bad and she said no, but since it's still there , the only way to know is biopsy unless I pray she still thinks it's nothing. But I've been getting sensitive teeth and occasional face pain and a canker sore on my tongue . I googled and must if those are signs of mouth cancer . So I'm freaked out

Bumps (of varying sizes) on the jaw line or tongue are very commonplace...sometimes its takes awhile to get rid of it (nothing special to do!) and sometimes they just disappear overnight...I am sure you are ok! Take care!

Yes for sure, but I keep doing it. Except yesterday I went to the gym and did a good workout.
