Hi all. So I know I posted on here about the pain under my breast well after going to the doctor I don’t have gallstones and no infection in my blood. So last night I was laying in bed and got the WORST pain under my breast again. My boyfriend said it could be either gas or an ulcer. The pain is still there (this happened at 3 am) so can gas stay that long? And what do ulcers feel like? This is a severe pain in the same place as the other was. So I’m worried if it’s an ulcer because it can cause bleeding so my anxiety is at its worst. :(

hi, yes 'wind' or 'gas' can hang around. have you never heard the expression - 'trapped wind'? also, blood tests tell so much more than you think. you were allowed to get up and go home. if anything at all had been flagged up or that medics thought needed investigation, you would know about it. allow yourself to get some rest and put all that worry in the bin! and guess what? anxiety causes 'gas' and tummy trouble!

I have never heard of that but my blood came back for no infection in my blood stream and the sonogram showed nothing wrong with my organs (excluding appendix because they have to do a CT for that) I do have a fatty liver but that’s about it. Gallbladder had no gallstones.

I did notice that last night the pain was under my breast and in my left hip at the same time but that slowly went away. The pain comes and goes and it’s sometimes very sharp but also dull. I didn’t realize that gas could cause that bad of pain lol but I’m not passing gas. I’m burping but no passing gas. The ulcer thing kinda made me nervous.

moving around type pain in the places you are talking about really does sound like tummy rumbles, and yes it can really hurt. try to reduce your worry and i hope you find relief soon lol.

Sounds like indigestion ,people have been to hospitals thinking they were having heart attacks because the pain can be bad, have you tried Rennie's?

Ulcer pain is a central sharp burning pain under the ribs in the stomach area, much worse for not eating. A fasting Breath test can be taken at the Doctors. Ask your GP.

I can’t do that. I need my Prilosec and with the test you can’t take it for two weeks before the test

You would know if you had a bleeding ulcer. It would cause discoloration of your stool, and you would be weak.

A dark yellow that is lol not bright yellow

Blood in your stool causes a very black or tar color. The diarrhea could be from the fatty liver.
