Just got off the phone with Lisa!! I call her my happy pill! Lol. I've got to shut this phone off for a couple hours cause it helps it not act up. Its ghost typing and it jumps app to app without me touching it. So I have to shut it off before it starts up again. After I turn it on in a few hours I want to hear about fireworks with your boys!! Hugs
Awww I wanna come and bake her some most delicious doggie treats!!! I'm a big dog lover too. I was wondering what breed she was so thanks for telling me cause I thought possible German shepherd. But her mix is awesome cause my Cheyenne was German shepherd lab mix also. The lab in her was a crazy water dog. Does your dog love water too?? Aww darn it I wanna come to her party!! Can you send me lots of pics ??? If live to see her celebrating!!!
Yes they are I still say good morning and goodnight to her everyday! I feel crazy but that's how close I was to her. We were attached to the hip except when she was swimming!! Lol. She was crazy she would slap the water with her paw and then bark at it! Lol😄😄😄 She would do that for hours! I don't know why,but she was just goofy like that!!!
Lol yea she brightened up my day this early morning!!! I'm still smiling from our chat!!! She's an angel!! I feel blessed to know both of you now!!! Like I told her I've never had girl friends. I've always grown up around only men. So beyond them touching and hitting on me!!! So knowing you two has been so awesome!!!
Not my men in my family...seat down, hahahaha!!! XXX
Yes it took me .....20 years...see never give up, hahahahaha!!! Love you!!!
You are right I don't like you...I love you, hahahahaha!!!!! XXX
Love you more....hahahahahaha!!! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
No it mostly happens after being on it for hours! It ghost types all the time no matter what. At my Drs office I showed him and he goes oh wow and I said yea this thing is psychotic!! He goes take that back. It was jumping app to app every few seconds so until I can prove it tomorrow I just turn it off for an hour and recharge it. Right now its ok. I'm not taking it to Verizon today cause its going to be 108. So not today!! Lol. I don't have a car only a scooter so I don't want to fry going up there today. One more day I can deal with!! 😱😱 This is a brand new phone and I've only had it a week if that!!
You too sister!!! Love & hugs!!!
Thank you lovedogs51511 for your post. I feel the same way. After finding this site I’m amazed with the abundance of people out there that have similar challenges that I have in life. Even if this is a virtual Internet site and not live human interaction, I can feel the other people out there. I like the empathy I’ve received and I like being empathetic. 😊
Best to you and all,
What a wonderful man you are! Have a beautiful day!!! Big hugs for you! XXX
I only speak the truth...glad to make your day...anytime!!! XXX
I'm already 60! I still can't believe it! My mind says in your 30's...body says different, hahahaha!!!! XXX
Hi “59 going on 30’s,”
I’m turning 60 next month. To tell you the truth, it’s hitting me quite hard. I mean like you say, our minds are of decades ago. A blink of an eye I was just in my 20s. Another blink then it’s the old folks home. Sorry to put it that way but I lost my mother last year. And going to the home to visit her was depressing for me. I kept thinking, ‘christ, the 80’s is just around the corner for me.’
So really all we have is the here and now and to make the best of living life at whatever age we are.
Betty Davis gave the best explanation of all, “Getting old is for sissies.” In her elderly years even that she whittled down to a wrinkled tiny little person, she loved life.
So we’re 60. Let’s just leave it at we Children of 1958 are beautiful.
You were blessed to have your mom so long...I said goodbye to mine when I was 30...it was the day before her 58th birthday & I only found out it was going to happen 3 hours before, they said she could live months! 6 weeks later I gave birth to my 3rd child....They are still with us!!! We will be reunited one day, won't that be lovely? I never thought I'd see this age, yet here I am!!! We grew up in a great era didn't we? We'll leave it at that we are just getting better & better with age, hahaha!!! Peace for you!!! XXX
I feel the same as you!!! Love you bunches!!!XXX
It’s hard losing a mother, especially if they were caring as we grew up. My Mom was an iconic woman. She was very social, involved in the community, and helped the poor. Up to age 82 she was still driving for Meals on Wheels. After that she wound down and then the dementia followed.
I must say that her death was beautiful. It was hard to see this shriveled to tiny woman in her deathbed. But a few hours before her death, I got to the hospital. She was out of it and on the respirator. I walked up to her and said, “I love you Mom.” She open up her eyes and smiled. Shortly after she passed. I was so touched that she waited for me because I live 500 miles away and had to jump on a plane to get there.
It’s now been over a year. I miss calling her during my depressions and saying, “I need my mommy.” And she’d listen. We used to talk on the phone often.
But I know she’s up there probably having a ball. She’s so social that I’m sure she’s lighting up heaven.
So let’s keep our mother’s spirits alive by remembering the good they gave us.
Oh wow Me Zee that's a sad but beautiful story about how she looked at you and smiled! I believe she also saw what wonderful words you just wrote and she's got a million dollar smile on her face lighting up heaven like you said!! She sounds like the most amazing mom!! You know she's keeping an eye on you every minute of the day!!! She's smiling big and you will again be able to go up and hug her tight and say I need my mommy!! Shell hug you back real tight and say I'm here son I'm here!!! Hugs MrZee!!!
Thank you lovedogs51511 for such a sweet piece of feedback. Yes, I’m sure she’s looking down on me. One thing I did inherit was her kindness. She didn’t have any kind of social anxiety because she literally had hundreds of friends. But she cared about people. That I got from her. I’m grateful that I did.
I can really tell that you received her kind ❤!! That's a very wonderful gift for a man especially to have!! Not many men have it! I'm just glad I'm talking to one that does have a special al ❤! I like your mom already!! I have cared for for our elderly for year,s! Im going back thru CNA classes again due to losing my certification. But I'm a huge lover of our elders! They will forever be my favorite ppl. A great generation is elderly! They all have such amazing stories like I bet your mom did too! God bless all of them!! Oh what was your moms name if you don't mind??
My mother’s name was Rhoda Galardi (she remarried). Even at the Silverado memory care facility she was very popular. A month after her passing we had a memorial service for her... a number of the Silverado staff and residents attended. I was quite moved by that. I’d attach a picture of her but this app’s [Reply] option doesn’t have that feature. This link should take you to her picture and obituary:
The pink on my Mom/Rhoda was decorative wedding tule. When hubby and I married, my Mom worked the reception. She was the belle of the ball. She pulled down some of the tule and wrapped herself in it. A few moments after hubby and I were pronounced married, Mom came up to me and said, “I’ve been to a lot of weddings. But I could *really* see the love between you two.” That was 10 years ago when Gay marriage was finally legal in Calif. Our family and friends were at our side. It was wonderful.
Sounds like my mom! In the past 29 years I've never heard One ill word said against her....she was loved by everyone...what a legacy to leave behind...if I could only do that!!! They are with us!!! Love for you!!! XXX
Wow yeah its just amazing all the kind and most caring ppl I've met and become friends with. I wish I would of met these folks decades ago. I never ever feel alone in this world anymore! To know others are dealing with similar issues is comforting for sure! Thanks for the message!!! Have a fantastic day!!
