That’s wonderful! It’s so great doing things that you couldn’t do in the past. Such a feeling of accomplishment! Be proud...
You will be able to more! Just keep going. I was agoraphobic for fourteen years. Keep on going out and enjoying life. Accept the new normal without anxiety. Don’t let the thoughts of anxiety even enter your mind.
Congratulations on accomplishing your Milestone!! I KNOW how much of a BIG step that must have been for you because I too suffer from anxiety as well as depression.
When I was working, I accomplished a lot of stuff that I would be afraid to do now. However, back then I had major social anxiety. With the help of support groups, my social anxiety is much less.
I am planning my own "Baby Step" by attending a Musical, at a famous theater in the New Jersey/New York area, by myself! It is at the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ and many celebrities have performed there so their shows are in the caliber of Broadway shows.
That will be this Saturday afternoon, so wish me luck!
Again, gilded_masquerade, I am SO PROUD of you and HAPPY for you! Keep up the great work!
I DID accomplish my milestone by going to the Papermill that day! I even talked with some people before the show!
My next milestone will be to go to the YMCA. I just joined on Thursday and plan to do the Aquatic exercises and one or more other classes. Wish me luck! I am kind of nervous about the Aquatic class.
That's huge! So happy to hear you're doing well, I haven't had a bad anxiety attack in quite sometime and I even went into the city today without my anxiety drops and any other of my remedies which I'm happy about.
