Hi everyone, my name is Lindsey and I’m new here. I’m 25, married with a beautiful 18 month old daughter. I also struggle with anxiety and have been struggling allot more lately. I was taking 100mg of Zoloft and it worked great, my dose got upped and it quit working for me. My doctor switched me to 20mg if Prozac and I took it for a month and I new medication management person upped it to 40. I took it about a week and hated it. So we are transitioning back to Zoloft. I’m concerned though because when I switched to the Prozac I just stopped the Zoloft and started the Prozac. Now switching back she has me taking 40 mg of Prozac every other day and Zoloft 25mg daily for the rest of the week and on Monday I’ll stop the Prozac and start the Zoloft at 50. Has this been ther case with anyone else. I’m worried. Sorry for the long post I just have a lot on my mind.

Welcome Lindsey, glad you are here! The ups and downs of antidepressants can be tough. I’m sorry you’re having a hard time. I haven’t that exact situation before but I’ve done the SSRI dance so to speak lol I just started taking Zoloft again. I don’t know how much help I can offer but I just wanted to say welcome and I hope going back to the Zoloft will help you. If you’d ever like to talk feel free to message me! 😊

May I ask if you had any side effects with Zoloft? And if so how long they lasted for you?

I don’t remember any bad side effects just feeling nauseous but it went away after a little while. Zoloft worked wonderful for me and when I stopped breast feeding I thought my anxiety was worse and the dr upped it to 150 mg and it was too much for me. Come to find out I had mastitis from no longer breastfeeding so my anxiety feelings were actually and infection. So I’m happy to get back on Zoloft and maybe be back to how I used to feel which was great.
