Does anybody else suffering from anxiety get this sour feeling in the back of their throat when they breath at times? And then it feels like you have to throw up for it to go away and sometimes it doesn’t? It’s been happening for a while but recently picked up intensity and it always spirals me into an attack. I had a couple bad days with it to where I was just throwing up stomach acid. I believe it’s from the nerves in my stomach from the anxiety pushing acid up and thats the feeling (acid reflux) but I haven’t really asked if anyone else with anxiety gets that? Feel it may make me feel better and not think the worst. Thanks!

Question
I have had that happen, I’ve been known to spend 4 or 5 days throwing up whether I ate or not. I know when I’m about to get a very tough anxiety episode because I feel that knot up in my throat. The only thing that I feel has helped a bit was smelling some ginger and mint, drinking ginger tea did not help but smelling essential ginger oil does help some
Oh wow! Yeah I noticed ginger tea didn’t help it kind of intensified but smelling is a great idea! You’ve experienced that sour feeling when you breath?
Yes, like the air feels toxic and heavy
Yes! It’s awful. Thanks for the advice. That makes me feel much better. It would go away for a bit when throwing up but I found myself in an episode now and it’s hard to eliminate it since the anxiety is high. Will definitely smell some ginger. Thanks again ❤️❤️ makes me feel not so on edge and crazy lol.
