I have major depression anxiety, ptsd and alcoholism. Past 3 years have been hell I walked out of a 30 year marriage giving everything up. Starting over I have caused a lot of issues with someone who loves me and doesn’t understand the pain. I’m on meds just can’t take it much longer

Tommye- I left my wonderful husband of 14 years last year and have been depressed ever since. I have also taken to alcohol and pretty much drink every day. My husband still gives me love and wants me back which messes with my head and makes my depression worse. I’m trying this new thing of no alcohol- only setting small goals to start- and I’ve been sober for 8 days today and guess what?! My thoughts are a bit clearer and im already seeing an improvement in my sleep. My advice to u is to cut back your alcohol because it will do miracles on how your perceive life. If u decided to give this a try, be sure to set a small goal to start (otherwise it will feel too overwhelming)

Hope this helps a bit🌞

Totally agree. Although fully off the wagon at the moment. When I was sober for a few weeks a couple of months ago I really did feel less brain fog, and better sleep.

I am rubbish at staying sober. I am stuck in a real rut of ending up in A&E

With a panic attack (at the time I am

Fully convinced I am having a stoke, heart attack or dying from some incurable rare disease) and each time after a whole night in hospital let go fine. It’s so frustrating and embarrassing I feel so guilt and crappy I vow not to drink it lasts that day often two or so after then bang back on the drinking making up for lost time. Now whilst you clearly are doing better than me don’t give up. It’s really not worth it. Can/ do you recall a hangover? Morning after? A huge regret or mistake fuelled by alcohol? Try to remember how it made you feel. Do you have a rock bottom that you hit before you embarked on your wonderful 4 months of sobriety?

Dude, my recently deceased husband Chuck quit drinking and drugging when he was 51yrs old! It took a prison sentence to straighten him out. Please get in touch with NA or AA in your area. I was skeptical at first. He was alcohol free for 24 years til he died. He smoked weed
