Wondering

Has anyone been on latuda and it made the depression worse? My mind was spinning out of control, I could not sit for a reasonable amount of time or sleep. I was dropping items all the time. I am able to sleep and my thinking has slowed down, however I cry all day. Does anyone have advice?

I don't know much about latuda, but I was initially prescribed Prozac & had a similar reaction. I could not stop pacing and could not sleep. Maybe your doctor can try a different medication.

Are you still taking latuda? I wouldn’t take anything with bad side effects. There are plenty of other drugs that have fewer and much milder side effects like Citalopram/ Celexa. Also, I would google latuda and see what information you can find on it. I subscribe to an online newsletter called Worst Pills, Best Pills and I always consult it before taking a new drug.

Yes I took Latuda a few years ago and it did make me worse. I am now on Abilify (another mood stabilizer) and am doing much better. Hope this helps!

Hi Diviny,

I am about to start taking Abilify to add to the Zoloft I am taking which isn't helping very much lately.

It is always good to hear GOOD things about a drug you are beginning to try.

I realize that everyone is different, but the fact that you are doing well on it, DOES lift my spirits!

Thanks,

MJ
