Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. Do you have friends or family?
Remember there is always someone on here to help and talk to ❤️
Don’t I know it! I call anxiety “the beast!” It comes on often without warning, new and changing symptoms all the time that often mimic very serious symptoms. Beast for sure! I’ve had it so long that anxiety is my normal. Yet it can still come on with a vengeance at any given moment. I’ve gotten good at recognizing triggers and trying to stop it before it gets the best of me and then BAM. It knocks me on my butt! I get it! It’s taken me a while to get to where I am now and I thought I was doing good. So like an idiot I asked my doctor to lower the dose on my antidepressant and my coping skills are out the window. You are not alone! We are all riding this ship together. I’m here if you need to talk! I do have a lot of experience. I’m having a minor setback but it’s all to make to a better place. Trust me! We understand! We are here for you! Much love!
Hi Anna...sorry your're struggling. I know this feeling all too well. Anxiety really is a nasty thing and it attacks us where we are weak. Some things that make me feel better are reminding myself that it ALWAYS passes. Breathing exercises, deep breaths in through your nose, hold and release through the mouth. Also know you're not alone and there are people that care. You CAN overcome anxiety!
Yes it really is nasty and I always try to overcome it with breathing and ice cold water and thank you I know there is a lot people out there with anxiety but I never learned to overcome it
It takes time and a lot of experience and practice from my personal dealing with “the beast!” Don’t give up. Have you ever tried therapy? They are so good at helping you to get to the root of your anxiety, developing coping skills, recognizing triggers, and relaxation techniques. It is not a one and done. BUT it can be done! Bless you and much love. We’re here for you!
There's a quote I like that says:
"Courage is not the absence of fear, rather the decision that something is more important than the fear"
I'm not sure you actually overcome it, rather than learn to cope with it. I have a great counselor and her focus is helping me learn tools to cope with it when occurs rather than preventing it from occurring.
You WILL improve.
What tools fo you mean breathing exercise or something else just interested
Yes i do breathing exercises and drink ice cold water also i go outside for fresh air
Hi anna_o doing breathing exercises is helpful if done everyday and not just when you have anxiety. Meditation and deep breathing done on a regular basis will help prevent the anxiety from over taking you as well as lessen the frequency.
When you feel one coming on or start feeling overwhelmingly stressed, immediately start your meditation and deep breathing. Find a quiet comfortable place to call your own for 15 minutes. Cover yourself with a blanket it will help make you feel more secure. Sip on a hot drink which will warm and calm the inside of you. YouTube has some excellent calming audio videos that you can listen to while relaxing. Wish you well xx
