I’ve had anxiety and depression for most of my life. I also struggle with a diagnosed eating disorder. Recently I hurt myself pretty badly and my friends suggested an online support group because I’m too poor for actually therapy. But I guess, just, I want a safe place.

TW: Self harm and suicidal ideation
Hi Kylee. I'm sorry you're having a tough time. I've also struggled with anxiety for a long time and have had suicidal ideation myself. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in your struggles and hopefully this becomes a safe place for you
Welcome kyleebattelle, you are definitely not alone. I also struggle with anxiety, major depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation & ptsd. Of course, struggled my entire life. I do have a therapist due to employer health insurance. Hope this site helps in your healing journey.
There are so many places you can go for help if you don’t have much money. Do you live in UK or US? I myself live in Virginia in the US. If nothing else an emergency room can help you get help. I’m so sorry you are not able to find it. If I knew a little more where you were I believe I could better assist you. There are many crisis hotlines on this site as well for the UK and the US. I’m so sorry you have gotten to the point where you feel the need to hurt yourself. You mentioned you had a friend. One of the most helpful things to have is a support system. I’m glad you at least found this site! It has helped me a lot. I’m not a doctor. I’m just an anxiety, depression, ptsd, OCD, personality disorder etc. sufferer just like you. However I did work in intensive care and on the rescue squad for years. That along with my 30 plus year history of living with a mental health issue have taught me a lot. It seems you are definitely in need of some serious help sweetie. Hurting yourself will only make it worse. You may get distracted from your emotional pain momentarily but it will return very quickly twice as hard. Do you have support from family? The more people you can have on your side the better! If you find yourself feeling that way PLEASE call someone! Do not let temporary emotions cause you to make permanent decisions. Reach out for help! It doesn’t have to be that way! If unable to call family or friends you need to call a crisis center. It’s free and that is why they are there. My biggest wish in life is to raise awareness and destigmatize mental health challenges. One of the best medicines you can get for anxiety, depression etc is exercise and diet changes and that doesn’t cost a thing! Take a walk! Truly focus on all of the sights, sounds, smells, feels that you experience. Idle minds breed negativity. Call a friend. Play a game on Computer etc. Journaling is also good. Afterward just close the book on it. Try not to obsess. Sometimes just getting it out helps. You have touched my heart! I wish there I was more I could do to help. Look up mental health for poor people in your area. Or mental health assistance. It sounds simple but that’s really what you need. It is so challenging especially alone. I’m here if you need an ear. Prayers for peace being sent! Never be afraid to call a crisis center before it is too late! Bless you!

Hey KyleeBAttelle . I’m going on through the same part in my life right. I’m fighting with myself everyday not to hang myself and I can say that sometimes hurt myself really bad to feel better . Lately I start to go to tattoo my body to help my craziness. Depend in which country you are, you can find people to talk with. You can try to do meditation and mindfulness or yoga, to try to let the thoughts come but just let them be without hurting yourself. Try to do something very nice like a Epsom salt bath or listen music and try to dance. I know it’s hard because I feel the same, but I’m pushing myself because I know this don’t belong to me. I’m not a scared person and I think it’s a battle with myself to re find myself. Don’t give up, seek help and try to work with yourself too. I’m here with you . Love and light
You poor soul, you have my empathy. I think I know the feelings you are going thru, or should I say thoughts, they can be so over whelming I know it makes me feel like I am going crazy, I also know it is my brain lying to me. I suggest you search out any resources, go to the library, check with local churches, some offer help at no cost. go on line find a support group. and come to us, we will support you and help you if we can. I send love/hugs peace. Sprinkle 1
Hello, and welcome. We"re here, as you can see from the replies you received. If you live in the US, many counties in the states have free medical for people who have little income. Please check online if you have a friend with a computer or call the sheriff or city police on their help line....not the 911 emergency number and tell them you need medical care; they should have information for you to follow up on. Please keep in touch with us.xxx
Hello, i feel for you. I dealt with depression and anxiety for years now too since 12 so you are not alone. I recommend looking up ways to reach out for help with a eating disorder. Do you have anyone who you can talk to?
Have you tried 12 step meetings like A.A. or Al anon.Seems like anyone struggling can belong at Al-anon.And they are pretty much free.Good Luck!
