Hi HNE1991,

Staying at home and looking after your family is one important job. It's definitely okay to not be in a good place and ask for help.

Did your therapist give you any tips on how set out your thoughts?

One of the best and simplest ideas is to have split a page in two (or two separate pages) then put the positives about yourself on one side and the negatives of the situation on the second side.

The second thing you might like to do is to create groups for each list e.g sleep, thoughts, actions, health (physical), health (mental), children, partner, support team, me

The idea is to celebrate the positives and work on accepting or changing the negatives with your therapist (who you should put in the positives - support team category).

That is a great idea, I will try that before my next visit. It feels when I write my thoughts down that I am worse then I think I actually am mentally.
