was off medication for a while and my anxiety was severe, getting through the day was hardest ans some times didn't want to get out of bed because of fear generally social phobia and people of high ranking, however i went back to my hospital and they prescribed for me fluoxetin 20mg, and diazepam 10mg , my observation is that diazepam has effectively helped me , i had lost hope for future but now am just very fine. i also had thoughts of isolating my self from home but its now history, as anyone on this forum knows what it means when your anxiety is severe, feeling normal again is like a miracle right away from God,i just thank God for what i feel right now. my prayer to God is to help any one going through this severe suffering of anxiety and depression atleast find the right medication fot the problem. thank you

Hi, I am glad you have found meds that help you. I take Ativan which is in the same class as diazepam. I hope your doctor explained to you that this benzo type of pills are not supposed to be taken every day. They are very addictive. I take mine only as needed and sometimes for sleep, when I am particularly restless and my main meds are not enough.
