I am now on 40mg of celexa I feel like it helps with relaxation and over thinking on things you can't change.however I'm always depressed don't feel like I'm ever going to feel happy ever.

Anyone with advise ?

Sarah4293,I was on celexa,25 mg. For about two years ,I can say I wasn't depressed. People would ask me what I was on I guess because I had a bunch of energy. So I weened myself off ,this was about ten fifteen years ago, I've definitely been depressed since I stopped so now I'm seeing therapists and councillors, thinking about seeing another psychologist, but not sure if I want to take meds again one reason is because I'm taking meds for addiction and don't like to have another script to mix with what I am taking now ,but give your meds a chance maybe see another therapist or talk to a councillor ,it takes time let someone get to know you.I'm sorry but who knows maybe another antidepressant would work for me I need to talk to a professional .
